An enthusiastic and talented group of parents and school staff founded the Peninsula Hawks Scholarship Fund in 1984. Their goal was to increase scholarship donations from the community and encourage students to continue their education. Prior to the advent of the Peninsula Hawks Scholarship Fund, approximately $7,000 was awarded to PHS graduating seniors annually. Now, 41 years later, the Peninsula Hawks Scholarship Fund has grown to be one of the largest high school scholarship programs in the state. It has provided as much as $425,000 per year in awards to graduating seniors. The awards can be used for any type of accredited educational institution; from short training programs to full-fledged university education, and in all fields including vocational, technical and academic.
The purpose of the Peninsula Hawks Scholarship Fund is to provide a means for our community to support continuing education by awarding graduating seniors with scholarships.
If you are not interested in starting your own scholarship, you can still help by donating. Every contribution — big or small — directly funds scholarships for graduating seniors. Together, we can continue building opportunities for future generations.
