OUR PURPOSE

Our purpose is to provide a means for our community to support continuing education by providing graduating seniors with scholarships that meet our donors’ criteria.

OUR HISTORY

An enthusiastic and talented group of parents and school staff founded the Peninsula Hawks Scholarship Fund in 1984. Many of them still live in this community and take a keen interest in the progress of the program. Their goal was to increase scholarship donations from the community and to encourage students to continue their education.

Prior to the advent of the Peninsula Hawks Scholarship Fund, approximately $7,000 was awarded to PHS graduating seniors annually. Now, almost 40 years later, the program has provided scholarships totaling over $400,000 annually.
