Peninsula High School boasts one of the largest high school scholarship programs in the state, the Peninsula Hawks Scholarship Fund. It provides as much as $400,000 per year in awards to graduating seniors. The awards can be used for any type of accredited educational institution; from short training programs to full-fledged university education, and for any type of major, whether vocational, technical or academic.

Students apply by purchasing and completing a scholarship portfolio during their senior year. In it, they provide information about their activities and accomplishments during their high school years and their future plans. This portfolio serves as the application for a large number of awards, given mostly by local donor families, businesses and organizations.

  • Must be graduating with Class of 2024 in June
  • 6 credits are completed on PHS campus
  • Must be planning to attend an accredited educational institution (academic, vocational or technical) to receive their scholarship.

Scholarship Portfolios: Students must purchase, complete and submit a Portfolio, highlighting their activites and accomplishments in high school. Portfolios are due January 10, 2024.

Criteria and Selection: Donors are presented student scholarship portfolios that meet the donor’s criteria and requirements. Donors select a recipient from the presented portfolios.

Selection Awards are based on merit rather than financial need.

Scholarship Payment: Students request scholarship payment through their institutions’ registrars office. Scholarship money is sent directly to the educational institution and must be used for tuition and fees required for enrollment or attendance, or for fees, books, supplies and equipment required for courses at the educational institution.
